Club Punta Fuego held its upgraded Floating Pontoon blessing last February 28 at the Punta Fuego Yacht Club marina. Mr. Patxi Elizalde, Club Punta Fuego’s Board of Director and Mr. Santi Picornell, Member of the Marina Committee led the ribbon cutting and blessing together with Mr. Mikel Arriet, Club’s General Manager and Mr. Pedro E. Roxas, Chairman of Club Punta Fuego.
The original 30 berth 10 year old wooden pontoon was replaced with a locally manufactured and customized Australian Marina standard aluminium frame floating pontoon system. Punta Fuego Yacht Club continues to improve and expand its facilities in order to accommodate its present population of boats in 30 on-water berths and more than 200 trailer boats in-land.
The festivities for the day included the club’s sailing championships 4th race and a cocktail dinner with a sumptuous buffet at the Barracuda Bar where boat owners, members and family alike enjoyed the free food and Margarita.
